How to Order

In choosing your fabric/s for your cat doll’s dress, I need to know what colors you would like AND what style of material you like. I put the styles into three categories to make it easier. Country, Victorian, and Modern. Remember, you can have any combination you want, these are only suggestions.

Country would include a small print for one fabric with a coordinating fabric of checks or stripes. To be pleasing to the eye, it is usually good to go with opposing scale (i.e. a larger geometric print with a smaller floral print, or, a smaller geometric print with a larger floral) Although there is not hard and fast rule, sometimes the only way to know if two fabrics look nice together is to lay them side by side and see.

Victorian would be a print of your choice, could be any size... and usually the coordinating fabric is a solid. I also include under Victorian a muslin dress with traditional lace accents... this can be tea stained if you like to make it look old!

Modern is just that... any print, geometrics and solids usually... bold multi colored stripes and patterns or novelty prints. These can be combined with other styles, too… there is no limit.

Let me know what appeals to you. I may have to go shopping to get just what you want, but that is fine.. I don't want you to limit yourself to what I happen to have in stock. After you have given me ideas of what style and colors appeal to you I will put some ideas together and send you pictures to choose from.

I have tried to give some ideas of different ways to embellish the dress (lace placement, apron, faux straps and or cummerbund, etc) on my web site. You are welcome to visit that page and get some ideas too. I have named the different dresses that I have come up with, but you can have any combination you like. The bloomers are made of muslin and come with all cat dolls. If you would like to have a hat or add an apron, those are available for an additional cost.
